NOOSA HEADS BEACH

Noosa Heads BeachNoosa Heads Main Beach is right on Hastings Street, the main shopping precinct. Enjoy a surf and head over to the great cafes for a cappuccino and gourmet lunch before walking round the Headland to some more wonderful Noosa Heads beaches.

Surf at First Point near Noosa Heads Australia, with its medium swells, or try one of the many small private beaches such as Tea Tree or the local’s favourite, Granite Bay. These are for experienced surfers only.

Alexandria Beach is an optional-clothes beach with some fantastic surf. Sunshine Beach is an incredible spot for a beach walk, with its fifteen kilometres of clean pure sand.

Main Beach is the only one with Surf Life Savers. Noosa Heads Surf Life Saving Club is right on Main Beach. To go surfing from Noosa Heads you can go by car or walk. To surf at the other beaches, follow the walking trail round the Headland.


NOOSA HEADS - THINGS TO DO

Things to do at Australia Zoo - Sunshine Coast TourismThere are many tourist attractions in and around Noosa Heads. After you’ve finished surfing at the beach, you might like to visit some of the Sunshine Coast's biggest toursim icons.

About an hour’s drive away is Steve Irwin’s Australia Zoo where you can spend a day with the crocodiles and other wildlife. Or hire a car and visit Montville, in the Blackall Ranges, renowned for its locally-produced arts and craft. Visit the Eumundi Markets with its delicious locally-grown produce and hand-made crafts.

If you run out of things to do in Noosa Heads, shopping at the many boutiques in Hastings Street is a very popular activity. Or you might spend your time dining at some of the restaurants that Noosa Heads is famous for.

Try hiking through the National Park or go sight seeing in Noosa Heads by taking a cruise through the Everglades. Sightseeing in Noosa Heads should also include a trip to Fraser Island, the largest sand island in the world.
