This course aims to provide a tailored individual structure. Each participant will explore the Mezzotint technique with Master Mezzotint printmaker, Graeme Peebles at their own level and be able to set their own agenda.
The course will look at various ways of preparing a traditional Mezzotint ground and participants will have the chance to draw on Graeme?s extensive experience with the technique and explore the various effects of Mezzotint. The course will cover, scraping and burnishing of the plate through to colouring and print methods.
Participants will be provided with one copperplate but are welcome to work on as many plates as they wish. Pre-rocked plates can be arrange upon applications and order. Participants are welcome to bring in existing plates for feedback and development. Graeme is flexible and welcomes participants to establish their own agenda.
